Washington, DC- The Salem College Soccer Team traveled north today to play Trinity College in a non conference soccer match. After the long bus ride, the Spirits jumped off to a quick 1-0 lead by a goal by Tori Collier (So., Raleigh, NC) with the help of an assist from Megan Harrington (Jacksonville, NC) just seven minutes into the game. That goal proved to be the game-winner thanks to the offensive surge that kept Trinity on their heels all afternoon. The shot total was in favor of Salem, 39-3.

Kayla Stover (Jr., Sturgeon Bay, WI) scored Salem’s second goal with Harrington and Liz Clem (FY, Merced, CA) earning the assist. Courtney Sauer (Carthage, NC) scored Salem’s third goal aided by an assist by Kim Wisen (Madison, OH). Jamie Eurell (Jacksonville, NC) finished Salem’s scoring with a penalty kick to make it 4-0. Brittany Tedrick (Batavia, OH) and Andrea Baldwin (Hudson, NC) shared the goalkeeping duties in the Spirits shutout.
