Cross country finishes in 5th at Wilbur Ross Invitational

The Salem College cross country team finished in 5th out of 7 teams at the Wilbur Ross Invitational 5K meet hosted by Winston-Salem State University. Cristi Magracia (Lemon Grove, CA) had her highest finish of the season in 2nd place, and her personal record at Salem (20:39).

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College cross country team finished in 5th out of 7 teams at the Wilbur Ross Invitational 5K meet hosted by Winston-Salem State University. Cristi Magracia (Lemon Grove, CA) had her highest finish of the season in 2nd place, and her personal record at Salem (20:39).

Magracia only lost to one runner from WSSU. Natali Olveda (Salinas, CA) and Stephanie Verdi (High Point, NC) finished in 23rd and 24th overall. Olveda ran a 22:23, and Verdi ran a 22:24 in the meet. Tali Schroeder (Lexington, VA) was the 4th overall Spirit across the line, and Amber Miller (Mebane, NC) was the 5th Spirit.

The Spirits have three weeks off before the run in the Great South Championships at Covenant on October 29th.
