New Orleans, LA-The Salem College cross country team was selected as a 2009 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Division III Scholar Team. The team carried a 3.62 GPA in 2009. Salem was the only Great South team represented out of the 153 DIII schools that were honored. For a team to be considered for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team award, they must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional Meet. The team must also have a minimum 3.10 team cumulative grade point average.
