The senior scored a three-pointer with 10:49 left in the first-half against Piedmont Baptist College to eclipse the 1,000 point mark. The Great South Athletic Conference has named Salem forward Shamaz Denerson the Player of the Week in women's basketball for the week ending January 23. The honor is the second for Denerson in 2010-11 and the third of the season for the Spirits basketball program.
