The Salem College basketball team mounted a comeback at the beginning of the second half and never looked back in a 63-54 non-conference win against Bennett College. Amber Miller (Mebane, NC) led the Spirits with 14 points, 6 assists, and 14 rebounds. The Spirits improve to 2-13 on the season with the win.
Basketball swept by Agnes Scott in loss
he Salem College basketball team lost their second game on their weekend Great South trip to Agnes Scott 66-41. Lasashia Connelly (Morganton, NC) led the Spirits with 12 points. Salem falls to 0-9 in conference and 0-13 overall, and Agnes Scott improves to 5-3 in conference and 6-9 overall.
Basketball struggles from field in loss at Wesleyan
The Salem College basketball team struggled from the field in their second straight loss to Wesleyan (GA) in a 59-44 game. Amber Miller (Mebane, NC) poured in 18 points to lead the Spirits. Salem falls to 1-12 overall and 0-8 in the conference.
Basketball loses to Wesleyan
The Salem College basketball team lost to Wesleyan (GA) 47-32 at home in a Great South game. Stephanie Hubbard (Sanford, NC) led the Spirits with 8 points and 15 rebounds. Salem falls to 0-7 in conference and 1-11 overall, and Wesleyan improves to 1-8 overall and 1-7 in conference play.
Basketball loses at home to Piedmont
The Salem College basketball team could not hang with the 18th nationally ranked Lions of Piedmont today at home in a 73-51 loss. Shamaz Denerson (Atlanta, GA) led Salem with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Salem falls to 0-6 in the Great South and 1-10 overall, and Piedmont improves to 5-1 and 13-1 overall.
Basketball falls in overtime game against Spelman
The Salem College basketball team pulled off an impressive rally to force an overtime game, which they would drop to Spelman 61-58. Sarah Smith (Hays, NC) led Salem with 10 points and 12 rebounds in the Great South game. The Spirits fall to 1-9 overall and 0-5 in the GSAC, and Spelman improves to 1-8 and 1-5 in the GSAC.

The Salem College basketball team had a strong comeback bid against Agnes Scott, but fell in the end 53-45 to Agnes Scott in a Great South game. Sarah Smith (Hays, NC) and Shamaz Denerson (Atlanta, GA) each had 10 points for the Spirits. Salem falls to 0-4 in the Great South and 1-8 overall, while the Scotties improve to 2-2 and 3-8 overall.

The Salem College basketball team fell in a Great South game today at Huntingdon, 60-49. Amber Miller (Mebane, NC) led the Spirits with 13 rebounds. Salem drops to 1-7 overall and 0-2 in the Great South, and Huntingdon improves to 7-4 and 2-0 in conference.
Basketball can't pull off season sweep of William Peace at home
The Salem College basketball team could not pull off the season sweep of William Peace University in a 71-58 home non-conference loss. The Spirits defeated Peace just under 3 weeks ago. Jojo Hall (Concord, NC) had a very strong game with a season-high 25 points and 5 rebounds. Salem falls to 1-6 overall, and William Peace improves to 1-7.
Basketball drops Great South home game to LaGrange
The Salem College basketball team lost their second straight conference game at home to LaGrange 94-61. Shamaz Denerson (Atlanta, GA) had a game-high 23 points and she added 9 rebounds. Salem drops to 0-2 in the Great South and to 1-5 overall, while LaGrange improves to 2-0 in the GSAC and 5-2 overall.
