This Week with Salem Basketball-Week 3

The Spirits went 1-0 this past week to improve their overall record to 3-1. They defeated Warren Wilson, 78-31, in their 1st home game of the season. Jasmine Shabazz (Buffalo, NY) recorded a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds in the win. Satavia Taylor (Chicago, IL) continues her hot play after being named the Great South Player of the Week in the 1st week of voting.

Southern Virginia is currently 2-1. They are members of the Capital Athletic Conference in the NCAA DIII.  SVU defeated Bennett and Penn State-Fayette, and they lost to Coastal Carolina in their most recent game. Mina Romito currently leads them with 15.0 points per game.

Wednesday, December 4th at Methodist University at 7:00 p.m.
The Monarchs are currently 3-2 with 3 straight wins. They will play Averett and Mary Baldwin this weekend before they host the Spirits. They defeated Hood in their most recent game, 63-59. Methodist is a member of the USA South Conference. T.T. Taylor currently leads them with 12.3 points per game.
