Satavia Taylor wins GSAC Player of the Week for second time

The Great South Athletic Conference announced the winter sports week four Player of the Week on Wednesday morning and women’s basketball player Satavia Taylor of Salem College was selected as the winner through exclusive voting by the league sports information directors.

sataviadribbleATLANTA, Ga. - The Great South Athletic Conference announced the winter sports week four Player of the Week on Wednesday morning and women’s basketball player Satavia Taylor of Salem College was selected as the winner through exclusive voting by the league sports information directors.

Week 3 Basketball Player of the Week – junior guard Satavia Taylor
Taylor averaged 15 points per game, 9 rebounds per game, 5 steals per game, 4.5 blocks per game and 2.5 assists per game as the Spirits dropped two contests at Methodist (L, 75-52) and versus William Peace (L, 70-61). This is Taylor’s second Women’s Basketball Player of the Week selection of the winter slate.

 

The GSAC sports information directors nominate Player of the Week candidates and then vote on the top two nominees in each sport as selected by the conference office. Player of the Week voting occurs on Tuesdays and the weekly announcement of the winners is released each Wednesday morning.
