Basketball sweeps Wesleyan with monster road win

The Salem College basketball team crushed Wesleyan College for the 2nd time this season with a 79-24 win. Shamaz Denerson (Atlanta, GA) paced the Spirits with a monster game of 21 points and 15 rebounds. Salem improves to 14-10 overall and 6-3 in the Great South, while Wesleyan falls to 1-17 and 0-9.

Shamaz Denerson (Atlanta, GA) paced the Spirits with a monster game of 21 points and 15 rebounds. Salem improves to 14-10 overall and 6-3 in the Great South, while Wesleyan falls to 1-17 and 0-9.

The Spirits scored the games 1st 20 points. They were dominant the whole game and went into the break with a 47-15 lead.  

Salem was huge on the boards and finished with a 72-21 rebounding advantage. The Spirits had a 22-3 steal advantage.

Satavia Taylor (Chicago, IL) added 15 points. Zy Henderson (Inmar, SC) led the team with 5 steals and 3 assists. 

Salem completes their regular season with a home game against Agnes Scott on Saturday at 2:00.
