Basketball swept by Agnes Scott in loss

he Salem College basketball team lost their second game on their weekend Great South trip to Agnes Scott 66-41. Lasashia Connelly (Morganton, NC) led the Spirits with 12 points. Salem falls to 0-9 in conference and 0-13 overall, and Agnes Scott improves to 5-3 in conference and 6-9 overall.

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College basketball team lost their second game on their weekend Great South trip to Agnes Scott 66-41. Lasashia Connelly (Morganton, NC) led the Spirits with 12 points. Salem falls to 0-9 in conference and 1-13 overall, and Agnes Scott improves to 5-3 in conference and 6-9 overall.

The Spirits kept it close for the first 8 minutes before Agnes Scott went on a 26-13 run to have a 33-20 lead at the break. The Scotties would quickly extend their lead to over 20 in the second half and it would stay there for the rest of the game.

Karoline Summerville (Charlotte, NC) added 11 points for the Spirits. Amber Miller (Mebane, NC) led the team with 10 rebounds and 3 assists. Genefine Sapateh led the Scotties with 11 points.

The Spirits return to action on January 26th, when they travel to crosstown rival Piedmont International to try to stop a 12 game skid.
