Basketball struggles from field in loss at Wesleyan
The Salem College basketball team struggled from the field in their second straight loss to Wesleyan (GA) in a 59-44 game. Amber Miller (Mebane, NC) poured in 18 points to lead the Spirits. Salem falls to 1-12 overall and 0-8 in the conference.

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College basketball team struggled from the field in their second straight loss to Wesleyan (GA) in a 59-44 game. Amber Miller (Mebane, NC) poured in 18 points to lead the Spirits. Salem falls to 1-12 overall and 0-8 in the conference.
Wesleyan used a strong defense to hold the Spirits to a season-low 7 points in the first half. Stephanie Hubbard (Sanford, NC) finished with 12 rebounds, and Miller had 4 assists and 3 steals to lead Salem. Lindsay Haggerty finished with 18 points to lead the Pioneers.
The Spirits return to action tomorrow in another road conference game at Agnes Scott.
