Basketball picks up big GSAC win against Huntingdon

Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College basketball team was hitting from all facets of the game in a 70-57 Great South win against Huntingdon. Jojo Hall (Concord, NC) had a monster game with 22 points and 15 rebounds. Salem improves to 3-6 overall and to 2-2 in GSAC play, while Huntingdon drops to 4-5 overall.
Salem started out with a quick 7-0 lead. The teams went back and forth for the rest of the half with the Spirits going into the break with a 36-29 advantage. Salem came out on fire with a 15-4 run to start the second half. Huntingdon was never able to get closer than within 9 points for the rest of the game.
Kelsey Rector (State Road, NC) added 16 points for the Spirits. Amber Miller (Mebane, NC) also had a strong game with 9 rebounds and 6 assists. LeTerial Williams led Huntingdon with 13 points.
Salem returns to action in another GSAC match when they host Maryville College at 2:00 pm.
