Macon, GA-The Salem College basketball team beat Georgia Wesleyan, 93-57, for their largest victory of the season. Sarah Smith (Hays, NC) had a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Amber Miller (Mebane, NC) was one assist away from a triple-double. She had 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists. Salem improves to 8-8 overall with the win, and 5-5 in the conference. Wesleyan dropped to 2-10 overall and 0-7 in the GSAC.

Salem dominated the first half by outscoring Wesleyan 51-20. They shot 42% from the field and outrebounded Wesleyan, 64-44 in the game. Shamaz Denerson (Atlanta, GA) also had a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Racheal Salmons (Yadkinville, NC) scored 10 points, and Sarah Wright (Siler City, NC) added 11 points.

The Spirits return to action on Sunday in a conference game against Agnes Scott at 2:00.
