Basketball falls on the road at Agnes Scott

Decatur, GA-The Salem College basketball team lost a conference game at Agnes Scott, 65-45. Sarah Smith (Hays, NC) led Salem with 14 points and 6 rebounds. Salem drops to 8-9 overall, and 5-6 in the conference with the loss. Agnes Scott improves to 6-14 overall, and 4-5 in the GSAC with the win.

Salem fought back from a 9 point first-half deficit to take a 30-28 lead into the break. Halftime was the last lead of the game for the Spirits. The Scotties went on a 26-8 run to break the game open for the first 15 minutes of the second half. 

Kelsey Rector (State Road, NC) scored 10 points and had 2 assists. Michala Michaux (Morganton, NC) added 6 rebounds and 2 assists for the Spirits. Kimberly Reeves led Agnes Scott with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Salem returns to action when they host North Carolina Wesleyan on February 4th at 7:00 in a non-conference game.
