Winston-Salem, NC- The Salem College basketball team cruised to their most convincing victory of the season at Piedmont Bible College, 91-64. The team is playing in the 21st Piedmont Baptist Basketball Classic. Salem had four players in double-digits. Jessi Watts (Hillsville, VA) led the way with 22 points, including going 6-9 from behind the three-point line. Salem improves to 5-10, while Piedmont drops to 1-5 on the season.

Salem ran out to a 27-9 lead in the first 7:46, and they never looked back. They would lead at halftime 46-25. Kelsey Rector (State Road, NC) finished with 18 points. Joanne Hall (Concord, NC) had 13 points for the Spirits, and Hailie Lineberry (Woodlawn, VA) finished with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Holly Gammons led Piedmont Baptist with 16 points.

Salem will return to action in the Piedmont Classic as they host Southeastern University at 5:00.
