Redman Named to All-Tournament Team

January 8- When the All-Tournament Team was named at the Piedmont Baptist Tournament this past weekend, Lauren Redman, a first-year student from Lenoir, NC, was all smiles. Redman was smiling even bigger because the Spirits had just went 2-1 in the tournament, including a 98-50 win over Piedmont Baptist College and a 100-34 victory over Trinity Baptist College. In both wins, the Spirits broke the team scoring record. The only blemish of the tournament was a 77-72 loss to Caldwell Community College on Thursday night.

Redman averaged 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the three games, including a team high 19 points vs. Caldwell Community College and 13 rebounds/7 assists vs. Piedmont Baptist College. Redman shared the game high scoring honors (22 points) with teammate Alex Ervin when they defeated Trinity Baptist College of Jacksonville, Florida.
