Greensboro Surges Past Salem in the Second Half
December 4- Salem College hosted the Greensboro College Pride Monday evening in a non-conference women’s basketball game. The Spirits fought hard in the first half, jumping out to a 31-23 lead. Greensboro College, the current two-time defending USA South regular season and tournament champions, fought back and led at halftime 42-41. The Pride started the second half with a 13-1 run and went on to the victory 94-67. 
Alexandrea Ervin (Morganton, NC) led the Spirits in scoring with 14 points. Stephanie Wilson (Morganton, NC) added 12 points while Shakila Springs (Winston-Salem, NC) scored 12 points, grabbed 23 rebounds along with 3 blocks and 3 steals.
Greensboro College was led by Staci Humphrey with 33 points and 9 assists.
Salem College returns to action on Wednesday night as they host Peace College at 7 pm.
