Alex Ervin Ties Scoring Record in Vicory Over Meredith!
February 15- Salem College traveled to Raleigh Thursday evening to play Meredith College in a non-conference women’s basketball game. Alex Ervin (Morganton, NC) tied the school scoring record with 27 points and helped lead the Spirits to a 94-83 victory over Meredith College for the second time this season.
Lindsay Cross (Asheboro, NC) had a tremendous game with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Michala Michaux (Morganton, NC) scored 17 points while teammates Lauren Redman (Lenoir, NC) and Shakila Springs (Winston-Salem) tallied 12 points each. Springs also grabbed 10 rebounds to help the Spirits to their 13th victory of the season. As a team, Salem made 33 of 38 free throws.
Meredith College (4-18) was led by Nicole Hall (31 points) and Brittany Cornelius (15 points).
Salem will play their final regular season game on Saturday as they travel to Warren Wilson College.
