Basketball crushes Hollins on the road

sataviashoot1Roanoke, VA-The Salem College basketball team eased their way to a 75-49 win at Hollins. Satavia Taylor (Chicago, IL) led the Spirits with 28 points and 9 rebounds. The Spirits improve to 6-3 with their sixth straight win, while Hollins falls to 2-6.

The first half of the game was tight with the Spirits going into the break with a 34-28 advantage. Salem ran away with the game in the second half, outscoring Hollins 41-21. The Spirits caused 36 turnovers by Hollins in the game.

Bria Patterson (Winterhaven, FL) had another strong game with 20 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Taylor led the team with 5 blocks. 

Salem will have the rest of 2013 off. They will host Bridgewater on January 4th.
