Basketball creams Methodist on the road

The Salem College basketball team had no problems with Methodist University of the USA South on the road as they destroyed them by 24 points.

sataviashoot1Fayetteville, NC-The Salem College basketball team had no problems with Methodist University of the USA South on the road as they destroyed them by 24 points. Satavia Taylor (Chicago, IL) had a huge game with 21 points, 13 rebounds, 3 blocks, and 5 steals in the 81-57 win. Salem improves to 15-3 with their 15th straight win, while Methodist falls to 9-5. 

Methodist held a 20-19 advantage after the first 10 minutes of play, and then Salem went on an 8-0 run. The Spirits held a 35-31 lead at the break. The second half was all Salem though. Salem was up 41-35 with 16 minutes left, and then they went on a 25-9 run over the next nine minutes. Methodist was never able to get back within 20 points. 

Quntashea Lewis (Hartford, CT) had a key game inside with a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds. Jasmine Shabazz (Buffalo, NY) led the Spirits with 22 points. Zy Henderson (Inman, SC) led the team with 5 assists.

Salem is down to five remaining regular season games. They start off on the road on Thursday, when they head to Washington & Lee.
