Basketball loses at home against Maryville

The Salem College basketball team lost at home today in a Great South game against Maryville 84-35. Karoline Summerville (Charlotte, NC) led the Spirits with 10 points. Salem falls to 0-14 in the GSAC and 2-17 overall, while Maryville improves to 13-1 and 17-6 overall.

Strong 2nd half by basketball not enough in loss to Huntingdon

The Salem College basketball team played a strong second half in a Great South game, but it was not enough to overcome an early lead by Huntingdon in a 83-61 loss. The Salem College basketball team mounted a comeback at the beginning of the second half and never looked back in a 63-54 non-conference win against Bennett College. Amber Miller (Mebane, NC) led the Spirits with 14 points, 6 assists, and 14 rebounds. The Spirits improve to 2-13 on the season with the win.
