The Spirits beat the College of Notre Dame (Maryland), 63-60, in the Methodist Turkey Shootout consolation game. Sarah Smith (Hays, NC) received all-tournament honors, and averaged 14.5 points and 8 rebounds in the two games.

The Salem College swim team competed at the Yellow Jacket Invitational hosted by Randolph Macon College this weekend. Salem finished the meet in 7th place out of 7 teams. Salem's 800 yard freestyle relay had the top finish for the team on the weekend, coming in 6th place.
