Basketball sweeps Wesleyan with monster road win
The Salem College basketball team crushed Wesleyan College for the 2nd time this season with a 79-24 win. Shamaz Denerson (Atlanta, GA) paced the Spirits with a monster game of 21 points and 15 rebounds. Salem improves to 14-10 overall and 6-3 in the Great South, while Wesleyan falls to 1-17 and 0-9.
Softball sweeps William Peace in first two games
The Salem College softball team kicked off their season with 2 wins in a road sweep of William Peace University in non-conference play. Allie Watkins and Lexi Perez each had 3 hits for the Spirits on the day. Salem improves to 2-0, while WPU falls to 0-3-1.
Basketball uses dominant first half to beat PIU
The Salem College basketball team rolled to a 36 point lead in the 1st half and eased passed Piedmont International University in non-conference play. Satavia Taylor (Chicago, IL) dropped 20 points in the 77-32 victory for the Spirits. Salem improves to 13-10 with the win.

The Salem College basketball team blew by Spelman early for a 75-52 win. Satavia Taylor (Chicago, IL) led the Spirits with 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals. Salem improves to 12-10 overall and 5-3 in the Great South, while Spelman drops to 7-16 and 4-5.
Basketball turns in ball to help sick children
The Salem College basketball team took time from the hustle and bustle of their competitive season to give back to families with sick children. The Spirits have been bumped and bruised in battles thus far in the Great South, but that didn’t stop them from helping families with sick children have a comfortable and clean place to lay their heads.
Softball set to kick-off 2013 campaign next week
The Salem College softball team is back at practice gearing up for their first game of 2013. The Spirits will hit the road on the 12th to take on William Peace in non-conference action.
