- Basketball Assists Ronald McDonald House of Winston-Salem
- The Salem College basketball team volunteered to raise funds for the Ronald McDonald House of Winston-Salem. There were 15 basketball student-athletes present for the service project.
- Soccer falls in overtime to Johnson & Wales
- The Salem College soccer team lost in an overtime thriller to Johnson & Wales of Rhode Island at the Columbus Fort Rapids Tournament hosted by Capital University. Johnson & Wales scored the only goal of the game in the 99th minute on a header for the victory. Salem falls to 3-2 with the loss.
- Cross country places in 5th at Catawba Meet
- The Salem College cross country team placed in 5th of 6 teams at the Catawba Meet. The Spirits defeated a NCAA DII team, Livingstone College, in the meet. Natali Olveda (Salinas, CA) was the first runner for the Spirits in the 5K race.
- Soccer drops first game of the season against Adrian
- The Salem College soccer team hung with Adrian College of Michigan for 38 minutes before Adrian exploded for a 5-0 win. Stephanie Hubbard (Sanford, NC) did a great job of shutting out NCAA DIII All-American, Sam Barker of Adrian, but Erin Weide scored a hat-trick to lead the Bulldogs to the victory. The Spirits drop to 3-1 and the Bulldogs improve to 2-0.

- Soccer moves to 3-0 with big win over William Peace
- The Salem College soccer team cruised to a 9-0 win today at home against William Peace University. The Spirits received goals from 6 different players in the win. Salem moves to 3-0 on the season, and William Peace drops to 1-2.
- Volleyball drops first match of 2012 season
- The Salem College volleyball team and new head coach Dana Wall lost their 1st match of 2012 today to Greensboro College at home. The Pride swept the Spirits in 3 sets (11-25, 21-25, 15-25). Roslyn Nixon (Wilson, NC) led the Spirits with 9 kills and 2 block assists in the match. The Spirits are now 0-1 this season.
- Soccer earns second win in as many games against Emory & Henry
- The Salem College soccer team picked up a 3-0 shutout victory at home today against Emory & Henry. The Spirits controlled much of the game against the Wasps in the non-conference match. Salem improves to 2-0 this season, while Emory & Henry drops to 0-1.
- Soccer opens season with 4-1 win at home
- The Salem College soccer team started the season with a 4-1 non-conference win against North Carolina Wesleyan. Sawyer Ferguson (Billings, MT) scored a hat-trick to secure the win.
- Cross country starts strong in first race
- The Salem College cross country team started the season by defeating last year's Great South Athletic Conference (GSAC) Champions, Piedmont College, at the USC-Upstate Eye Opener 5K. Salem and Piedmont were the only 2 NCAA DIII teams in the meet. Natali Olveda (Salinas, CA) finished 1st for the Spirits and 86th overall out of 195 in a time of 22:38.60.

- Head Coach Cross Country Coach Jamie Williams has announced his 2012 schedule for immediate release.

- West Davidson's Hutchins commits to play soccer at Salem
- The Salem College soccer program is excited to announce that Sierra Hutchins has committed and deposited to attend Salem next fall. Hutchins played soccer for Coach Chris Brown and Coach Lee Schenck at West Davidson High School.
- Dana Wall Named New Head Volleyball Coach
- The Salem College Director of Athletics, Melissa Barrett, is pleased to announce that Dana Wall will become the third coach in the NCAA era of the Salem Volleyball Program. Wall will replace Amanda Ziemba, who resigned in May to spend more time with her family.
- North Davidson High's Huffman commits to play soccer at Salem
- The Salem College soccer program is pleased to announce that Heather Huffman has committed and deposited to attend Salem next fall. Huffman, a defender, played soccer for Coach Greg Beal and Coach Mike Elder at North Davidson.
