- Fall Spirits Report:Week 8
- Cross country is off this week, while soccer and volleyball are both home this weekend.
- Volleyball earns upset at William Peace
- Just over 2 weeks ago the William Peace Pacers came to Salem and swept the Spirits 3-0 on their own court. Salem returned the favor last night by upsetting William Peace on their own floor 3-2 (25-23, 18-25, 25-18, 12-25, 15-13). The non-conference win improves Salem's overall record to 6-11, while Peace falls to 10-15.
- Soccer earns huge win at home against Covenant
- The Salem College soccer team earned a huge conference win to move into a 1st place tie with Covenant. Salem defeated Covenant 1-0 today in a closely played game. Salem improves to 12-3 overall and 6-1 in the Great South, and Covenant falls to 11-3-1 overall and 6-1 in the Great South.
- Basketball kicks off season with a blast at Midnight Madness
- The Anita Howard era of Salem College basketball kicked off with a blast last night in the Salem Gym at Midnight Madness. Following the event, the 2012-2013 Spirits kicked off their season with their 1st practice under Coach Howard.
- Softball set to host Fall Tournament on Saturday
- Winston-Salem, NC-The Salem College softball team is set to host a fall tournament this Saturday the 20th. The Spirits will play Averett and the North Carolina State University Club Team.
- Volleyball goes 1-1 in Alabama
- The Salem College volleyball team traveled to Alabama this weekend and split 2 matches with Tuskegee and Huntingdon. The Spirits defeated Tuskegee 3-1 (20-25, 25-19, 25-10, 25-20)
- Cross country finishes in 15th at Christopher Newport
- The Salem College cross country team competed in the Christopher Newport 6K today and finished in 15th place. Natali Olveda (Salinas, CA) once again was the top Salem runner in the race. She has finished 1st for the Spirits in every meet this year.
- Soccer earns 5th straight shutout in 5-0 win against Spelman
- The Salem College soccer team earned their 5th straight shutout in a 5-0 Great South win against Spelman. Tarryn Bundy (West Deptford, NJ) scored twice in the win. Salem improves to 11-3 overall and 5-1 in the Great South.
- Soccer's Ferguson, Schmidt and Bundy national ranked in NCAA DIII stats
- Though there are over 8,000 NCAA Division III women's soccer players, Salem College soccer has 3 players ranked in the top 51 of their statistics. Sawyer Ferguson (Billings, MT), MacKenzie Schmidt (Columbus, OH), and Tarryn Bundy (West Deptford, NJ) are well represented on this week's NCAA release of DIII soccer statistics.
- Basketball set to host Midnight Madness
- The Salem College basketball team is set to host the first-ever Midnight Madness Event in Salem College history on October 15th at 9:00 pm
- Fall Spirits Report: Week 7
- The Salem Spirits will compete in all 3 fall sports this week.
- Soccer's Hubbard Selected as GSAC Player of the Week
- Stephanie Hubbard anchored a defense that recorded three shut-outs in a 4-0 week for the Spirits. Hubbard also scored 2 goals and added an assist this week for 5 points. Salem defeated Warren Wilson, Methodist, Huntingdon, and Wesleyan to improve to 10-3 overall and 4-1 in the Great South.
- Soccer reaches 10th win at Wesleyan
- The Salem College soccer team earned their 10th win of the season today on the road in a 4-0 victory against Wesleyan College. Stephanie Hubbard (Sanford, N.C.) scored two goals and the Spirits out shot the Pioneers 38-0. Salem improves to 10-3 overall and 4-1 in the Great South. This is the 4th straight season Salem soccer has reason at least 10 wins.
- Soccer wins Great South match 3-0 at Huntingdon
- The Salem College soccer team defeated Huntingdon College 3-0 today in Great South action. Sataj Johnson (Corona, CA) scored the game-winning goal in the 7th minute. The Spirits improve to 9-3 overall and to 3-1 in the GSAC.
- Volleyball splits day against Guilford and Allen
- The Salem College volleyball swept Allen University today, but could not avoid the season sweep by the Guilford Quakers today at home. The Spirits fell in 3 sets (21-25, 16-21, 21-25). Salem is currently 4-10 this season.
- Cross country competes at Wilbur Ross Invitational
- The Salem College cross country team finished in 3rd of 4 teams at the Wilbur Ross 5K Invitational hosted by Winston-Salem State. Natali Olveda (Salinas, CA) finished in 7th overall in 22:01.20. The Spirits averaged 24:38.75 on the course.

- All 3 fall sports will be in action this week.
- Soccer defeats Methodist 2-0 at home
- The Salem College soccer team defeated a tough Methodist side today 2-0 at home in a non-conference match. Tarryn Bundy (West Deptford, NJ) and Sawyer Ferguson (Billings, MT) each had a goal and an assist in the win. Salem improves to 8-3 this season.
- Soccer improves to 7-3 with win against Warren Wilson
- After 6 straight road games, the Salem College soccer team defeated Warren Wilson 4-3 at home on a rainy field. Tarryn Bundy (West Deptford, NJ) scored twice in the last 8 minutes to pick up the win. Salem improves to 7-3 overall with the victory.
- Volleyball drops 2 home matches to Peace and Covenant
- The Salem College volleyball team lost 2 matches at home to Covenant and William Peace. The Spirits lost to Covenant in a Great South match 3-1 (13-25, 25-22, 16-25, 17-25). They dropped a non-conference match to the Pacers 3-0 (14-25, 21-25, 19-25). Salem falls to 3-9 overall and 1-3 in the Great South.
