T2L (Teach to Learn)
T2L is teaching and learning … times two!
What is T2L?
Some kids need a second chance to learn. That’s why Salem College offers a free one-hour, one-to-one tutoring service called T2L (Teaching and Learning Times 2) through our Teacher Education and Graduate Studies program.
By pairing our teacher candidates with learners who need additional skills and concepts reinforcement, learners get the extra practice they need AND teachers in training get the opportunity to practice their teaching skills one on one!
Does Your Child Qualify?
If you believe your child would benefit from double opportunities for learning success – in other words, twice the time to practice learning tasks, and twice the contact with his or her teacher – then you need to learn more about T2L.
How Does T2L Work?
- T2L is designed for students K-6.
- For fall 2010, T2L will run from October through the first week of December. Students are accepted on a first-come, first serve basis. Space is limited, so apply early!
- You as the parent or guardian will work with your child’s assigned T2L teacher to set up convenient times, dates and location. You will be expected to make all the tutoring sessions during the fall term.
- Sessions will be held between the hours of 4-8 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays. Each session will last one hour.
What Subjects Does T2L Cover?
T2L covers literacy, mathematics or both literacy and mathematics.
