MLA/APA Citation and Documentation

Dates: Feb. 8

Learn how to navigate through citation tidal waves and documentation storms as we uncover the difference between the popular MLA and APA styles. In this workshop, learn when to use which, how to use them, and why we have to use them in the first place!

 

The P.E.E. Method in Action

Date: Feb. 15

The P.E.E. method is a simple technique used to remind writers of the components of a paper. It works for any assignment, regardless of length. If you want a simple reminder of what to include in a paper, consider attending this session.

 

Presentation Attack!

Date: Feb. 22

You have to give a presentation for your class, but what do you say? What visuals do you use? Presentations are more than words on a pretty PowerPoint with music playing in the background. In this workshop, we’ll talk about ways to craft a fun, effective and enjoyable presentation. Learn how to create your presentation without touching a visual aid…yet. To get the most out of this workshop, please bring an assignment of your presentation rubric (if you have one).

 

Writing and Processing Q&A

Is there anything about writing or beginning writing that still plagues you? Are there any lingering questions that you just need answers to? Then come to the Q&A session to get those questions answered! Bring any and all questions/concerns to this session.

 

Writing Literature Reviews

You’ve been asked to write a literature review, but have no idea where to start. In this session, learn the difference between a literature review and a research paper, what to incorporate and how to begin the process.
