Third Certificate Program to be Offered at Salem
Beginning this fall, men and women ages 23 and up may enroll at Salem College through the Fleer Center for Adult Education and complete the courses requirements for a certificate in accounting. This is the third certificate program to be offered at Salem, joining Not-for-Profit Management and Injury Preventive Keyboard Technique.
There will be six required accounting courses, four of which must be taken at Salem. Students will be able to focus upon a track within accounting such as financial, managerial, tax or forensic accounting. Once coursework is done, they will be required to successfully complete an accounting assessment exam.
The certificate program is designed to give adults in Forsyth and surrounding counties additional professional and educational opportunities, as well as utilize the accounting expertise already available in Salem's undergraduate business and economics department.
