Salem, WSSU Present Artist Sheila Pree Bright in October
Salem College is proud to partner with Diggs Gallery at Winston-Salem State University to bring Sheila Pree Bright and her important artistic work to Winston-Salem!
Bright's mixed-media work has been featured in a number of solo and group exhibitions including shows at the Smithsonian Anacostia Museum in Washington, D.C.; the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland; and the Leica Gallery in New York. She has been published in a number of books, including Reflections in Black: A History of African American Photographers and, most recently, Black: A Celebration of a Culture. She received her MFA in photography from Georgia State University and was selected as the inaugural recipient of an artist-in-residency at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in 2007.
