Free Program on Working in Not-for-Profits to be March 15
Salem College’s Not-for-Profit Management program and HandsOn NWNC, the area’s not-for-profit training organization and volunteer clearinghouse, are jointly sponsoring an information session on Monday, March 15.
The session, to be held at noon in the Enrichment Center's Gateway Gallery, 1006 S. Marshall Street, will provide a free lunch to those who register in advance, as well as distribute information on Salem’s major, minor and certificate programs in not-for-profit management.
Dr. Doug Borwick, director of the Salem program, will provide an overview of the program, current students will describe their experience and Salem admissions representatives will discuss costs and financial aid. “This session is ideal for those who are interested in the possibility of career advancement in the field or in entering the ‘private public-service sector,’” Dr. Borwick says.
