"The Googlization of Libraries"
Leonard Kniffel will speak on "The Googlization of Libraries" on Thursday, April 10 at 7 p.m. in Shirley Recital Hall, Salem Fine Arts Center.
Kniffel is editor in chief of American Libraries, the magazine of the American Library Association, based in Chicago. American Libraries encompasses a suite of publications including: American Libraries print; American Libraries Online, weekly news and a dynamic website; American Libraries Focus, a video and audio component; American Libraries Direct, a weekly e-newsletter; and two blogs. Kniffel is the author of A Polish Son in the Motherland: An American's Journey Home, a travel memoir which traces his vivid journey of self discovery and finding his roots.The program is free and open to the public and is being sponsored by the Center for Women Writers, Salem Academy and College Libraries and the Friends of the Libraries.
