Sisters Date Stone Medallion

Sisters Date Stone Medallion

The date stone in Single Sisters House is one of two remaining date stones in the historic district of Old Salem. It is located in the 4th floor attic of the house. The limestone marker is approximately 18" in diameter. It is a symbol of the lasting heritage of sisterhood and community that has sustained Salem Academy and College for more than two centuries. Local Winston-Salem artisan Jim Teachey makes each medallion by hand. They measure about two inches in diameter and are made of pewter. They make great Christmas ornaments or necklace pendants! Medallions can be purchased for $50.00 a piece, plus $4.00 shipping and handling charges.

To order, please send checks to Jane Carmichael, Salem Academy and College, PO Box 10548, Winston-Salem, North Carolina 27108, and indicate how many medallions you are ordering. Please allow four to six weeks for delivery.
